Data Methodology & Rate Verification Process
Transparency in how we fetch, aggregate, and display global exchange rates and financial metrics.
1. Primary Data Sources
TheCurrencyPro utilizes direct REST API integrations with institutional and open-access financial market providers, primarily open.er-api.com and secondary institutional forex aggregators. Our market rates reflect interbank reference benchmarks used internationally.
2. How Our Currency API Pipeline Works
When a user opens or interacts with our currency conversion tool, the following pipeline executes:
- API Request: A secured JSON request is dispatched to our data provider endpoint.
- Parsing & Validation: Incoming exchange rate values are validated to eliminate anomalous spikes or corrupted payloads.
- Client-Side Processing: JavaScript computes precise conversion factors instantly without sending user data to third-party servers.
3. Rate Update Frequencies
To provide high performance without introducing lag, our data refresh schedules are structured as follows:
- Interbank & Major Forex Pairs (USD, EUR, GBP): Updated continuously in real-time throughout global market trading sessions.
- Regional & Open Market Benchmark Display: Refreshed hourly during active trading windows (Asia, Europe, New York).
- Gold & Precious Metals Data: Updated daily in alignment with Sarafa Market disclosures and global spot prices.
4. Accuracy & Limitations Disclaimer
While our rates reflect reliable live wholesale interbank benchmarks, actual retail transactions at local currency exchange counters, commercial banks, or credit card providers may include spread margins or administrative fees.
